Dear Santa,

Dear Santa,
We have two little boys at the Wamboldt House that are patiently awaiting your arrival (they have no clue).
We need one of your elves to determine if they belong on the NaUgHtY or NICE list! They have been doing VERY WELL not touching the Christmas Tree, but still try to sneak in some gentle touches when we are not looking. We have officially turned a corner with the boys sleeping through the night... I think we need two hands now to count the total number of nights we have slept through the night in the last 11 months!!!
We are thinking they are going to be very spoiled this Christmas, even though wrapping paper and boxes will do just fine.

This past week we visited Santa. In the short wait (thanks Aunt Missy, Dave and Elle for holding a spot), the boys got to see some presents...

and practice sending a Letter to Santa.
To our surprise, the boys were not scared of Santa. Aiden was however, afraid of the bells they were putting in his face to get him to smile. I don't need a smiling picture, just not a crying picture (this year).
What did they ask for???
Saturday night we had some friends over for a little early Holiday Cheer. The only picture I have from the night is of Ashton. The boys are literally into everything... even getting stuck in the stool. As we were talking, he snuck under the stool, and ended up in it. Silly.

The boys had a follow up visit this past Monday at Children's to check on their kidneys. I will update on how that went later this week in a separate post. I have pictures on my phone and don't have them downloaded yet... BUSY getting ready for the Holidays!!!
Cheers!

Great Times

Looking back through the pictures from this week... the only way to sum them up and put a title to them are "Good Times." We'll start out with some pictures of Adam's favorite time with the boys. His favorite time with the boys is in the mornings. It may be because it is the only time of the day that the boys are content snuggling and lounging. The bigger they get and the more busy they are, it's getting harder and harder for Adam to cuddle them both. So leave it to a Daddy invention. Baby Lazy-Boy recliners.
Now Ashton and Aiden can have relax, have their bottles, and watch the TODAY show with Daddy.
Another "Good Time" is receiving our shipment of formula. Yes, we order formula by the case monthly(2 cases each month). This MAY be our last official shipment. I highlight may because we might have to order one more case before we transition to milk after their first birthday.
This weekend was a weekend that we were all looking forward to. The last time we had a get-together with Adam's college friends was three years ago at Homecoming. Needless to say, with every one's families growing it was time for a get together! We packed up the boys and headed to Maple Grove. The Boy's loved Caden's trucks and cars!
Ashton Got to meet "Uncle Chuck". Adam and Chuck lived together in college and he was in our wedding. We FINALLY got to meet his daughter, Malin. It was also nice to see his wife, Holly ;)
The get together was at Berta and Mike's house. Adam lived with Mike in college as well. They just adopted their A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E son, Isaiah. I can't believe the only picture I took of his is this one, and you can barely see him in the left had side ;(
9 weeks old and a little peanut!
Aiden tries so hard to keep up with the big kids. Here is Malin, Caden, Avery, and Aiden. Next year he will be able to run around with them!"The Boys" and their Kids. Adam's college roommates and Friends. Chuck with Malin, Deek with Caden and Avery, Mike with Isaiah, and Adam with Ashton and Aiden. We finished out week with a visit from Gramma and Grampa. The boys opened up their St. Nick presents with Gramma and Grampa.A "Night Before Christmas" book, a plate for Santa cookies, and a glass for Santa's Milk.It wouldn't be a Sunday, unless we were watching the packer game and be lazy. Ashton cuddled in with Adam for a bit. Look at those tired eyes! The Packers are now 12 and 0 on the season... must be because of their two newest fans this year. the Packers haven't lost since last January when the boys were born!!!I know in last weeks post, I hinted at a picture of the decorated tree this week. Not so much. We on;y got the lights on it this week... The boys are doing better than I thought they would. Aiden tries to sneak over and take a closer look at it, but for the most part they forget about it.Aiden is working on two more teeth on the bottom and BOTH boys have found that their knees are faster for crawling than the army crawl. WATCH OUT! They get everywhere.... FAST.

Forgot Santa!!!

While doing the post last night, I had some technical difficulties... First we couldn't get the blog to save, so I lost it all... Then while looking through it today, I realized that we forgot SANTA!
We visited Santa's Cabin while at Pleasant Valley tree Farm and the boys had their first chance to tell Santa and Mrs. Claus what they wanted!

I was almost certain Aiden would be scared...

But actually her was curious. He was doing a back bend to see whose lap he was sitting on ;)
Aiden seems to be quite proud of how tall he is this year...
While Ashton always has a puzzled look on his face.
How tall are they when they are put together? Poor Aiden on the bottom!

It will be interesting to see how tall they are next year. So what did the boys tell Santa they wanted? If we only knew... Daddy told Santa that he wants a full night of sleep!
Sorry we forgot about Santa! Two posts this week...

We are Thankful

We have a lot to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving! We are thankful for two HaPPy and HEALTHY boys named Ashton Alan and Aiden James. We are also Thankful for the Family and Friends that help us. Without every one's help, we could not do what we do! I am also thankful for carpet and softer landings. A sight we see hundreds of time in the day is this... two boys pulling themselves onto something or each other. With that comes many, many, many falls! They are getting more brave and confident and I swear sometimes Ashton forgets that he can't walk and will try to anyway! Thank goodness we put carpet down for some softer landings!

We did our usual stops for Thanksgiving this year. We were down to Nate and Katie's for the Packer game and our first meal. After eating, the littlest butt got the nicest chair... how does that work?

Ashton loved finding new things to pull himself up on. It's exciting that he is getting more confident to find other things than people. It's annoying being a constant human jungle gym!
After my Brother's we head to Eau Claire to the Rueber House. Missy and Dave host both sides of their family. It's nice to on;y have to go to one place and see everyone!
The boys also LOVE playing with all of Elle's cool toys! Something we haven't tried before now is the ball pit...
Aiden James
Ashton Alan

Notice Elle's priceless "Cheese" Face... i think Ashton is taking notes ;)
Aiden James already developing bad driving habits... Eating french Fries while driving. Thank goodness they are fake and we really have 16 short years before really going through panic attacks!
Aiden wasn't so sure about the Dino though...
Again, horrible driving habits. Driving with one hand on the wheel... 10 and 2 Ashton!
We have stairs that we hardly ever use... but with the toys being downstairs and all the adults upstairs... it didn't take long for Aiden to find the stairs. It also didn't take long for him to find out that he can go up them...
Monkey see, Monkey do. Ashton was right behind him!
As Adam is spending weeks prepping for the start of the Black Friday sales (waking up at 2am) and the Holiday Season, the ladies are out supporting the economy. A tradition started about four years ago, we head to St. Paul and hit some boutiques along Grand Avenue and a few others. We find treasures that are more "wants" than "needs." Mikayla joined us for her first time, and hopefully will join us again! Nana already has it on the calendar for next year! For some reason, I spent more money this year and didn't buy anything for myself ;)
On Sunday we headed to Pleasant valley tree Farm for the tree. It was a bit cold, so we bundled up the boys! Aiden was so bundled, he couldn't move. ***Idea - maybe if we bundle him up like this at home, he will also feel like he can't move! They even brought their own saws to help Daddy cut the tree!
Gramma and Grampa with the three luckiest Kiddos!
Do you see the light shining down on this tree? The Boys' FIRST CHRISTMAS TREE!
Is there enough room for presents under it?

We have the tree in the house but not decorated yet... I am thinking we will get the boys used to a big tree in our living room before we light it up and make it all pretty! Maybe they won't be so interested in it?!?! They are doing great with the "no touch" so all the decorating will be done once they are in bed, so they don't see us touching it as well. Monkey See, Monkey Do! Hopefully we will have it decorated by next week's blog... Another successful tree hunt and spending time with family and friends this Thanksgiving. We are Thankful for many, many things.
