Will things really slow down once hockey is done? Will we really have more time when we aren't at the rink two nights a week and at Jamborees on Saturdays? Will the boys have tons of extra energy and miss hockey? Will we move right into spring, getting outside, and playing baseball?
Questions. I have questions, but not so sure we will know all the answers. I don't think there is such a thing as "more time." However, we are looking forward to more daylight and warmer weather.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about hockey. Hockey has been an amazing experience for Ashton and Aiden. Watching their coordination grow, their skills improve, watching them interact with other players, other coaches, and watch the Minnesota Wild every morning and night on the DVR has been enjoyable. Adam and I have met some great families through hockey and have gotten closer to other families we already knew.
When the boys were asked if they were excited for hockey to be done or sad... Aiden said, "We're not done, we are playing summer hockey." News to me buddy! Since the last practice on Sunday night, they have been outside or downstairs every night shooting pucks. So speaking for them... yes they are going to miss it.

IS HOCKEY HARD? "I don't know, you tell me. We need to have the strength and power of a football player, the stamina of a marathon runner, and the concentration of a brain surgeon. But we need to put all this together while moving at high speeds on a cold and slippery surface while 5 other guys use clubs and try to kill us, oh yeah did I mention that this whole time we're standing on blades 1/8 of an inch thick? Is hockey hard? I don't know, you tell me... next question."

We hosted 5 teams for our last jamboree the last weekend of February. A great way to finish our season.
Look at Ashton's hockey hair coming from his helmet... I could put it in a small pony tail!
Proud of his 3rd "badge" of the season.
WELCOME HADLEY MAE!!! Hadley was born on February 4th to my cousin Megan and her fiance, Sean. The boys couldn't be more excited to have a cousin to hold.
Aiden didn't want to give her up.
She is such a peanut with beautiful red hair!
Ashy took a turn which lasted for about a minute. ;)
The boys can't wait to teach her how to play hockey and share their Star Wars stuff with her.
Adam even took a turn for some cuddles.
The next night, they met us for Mikayla's last dance showcase at the high school!
MMS's Littlest Dance Fan.
Mikayla and Brenden
What am I going to blog about with hockey done and Mikayla's dancing done?
Well. I'm caught up. I am feeling like I can go on vacation now ;)
Happy Spring Break. Happy Warmer Weather. Happy March.
I posted the birthday post that has been on my shoulders the last couple months. Look at the previous post if you haven't read it yet!
