I didn't do a post last week because of the time I ran short on and the lack of events to share. However, this week was a busy one. More like this weekend was a busy one. I'll start off with a little behavior modification project. After what seems like an eternity of rainy days and two boys with a lot of energy, we were itching to get outside. When they have energy and we have to stay inside, they tend to wrestle, tackle, and push each other as they chase. This drives me bonkers!!! Very visible and right in the living room, we now have two posters hanging. We are now on day 6 so you can see how things are going...
On Saturday Daddy had the day off so we took advantage of the time to get some projects done around the house. He is prepping for the building project of the tree fort and swing set. Another project that the boys did was a Home Depot flower pot. The first Saturday of every month, they make a different project. This was our first time and it was fun! Just in time for Mother's Day, the boys made little pit holders. They get to keep the aprons and each time we go back, they get a new pin.
On the way to Hudson, I knew Aiden was my child... Looking through a Potterybarn Kids catalog.
Once they were built, it was time to paint.
They were focused and took their time.
Completed project! So proud. The insisted in walking through the store with their aprons on and commented to all the workers that they were "like them!"
Saturday afternoon was Mikayla's Prom. She came to our house for some pictures with the boys... It is a known fact that AJ can not come over without playing some football with them.
So many great pictures!!!
I'm sure Mikayla was one of the few who didn't take her shoes off before the end of the night! Such a great idea.
In a suit and on the way to prom, the boys didn't care. I don't think AJ cared either... He was more than ready to play football with these two little boys!
He would kick it up the hill and they were having a blast chasing after the ball.
AJ even chased the ball too... in his suit.
Ashton practicing his kicking.
Aiden's turn.
All dressed up with no place to go... or PROM. They needed a juice break first.
Supper time. Good thing we have a big dining room table, they insist being right next to Daddy.
Daddy has Ashton's cheese face down!
While Adam stayed home with the boys, Elly, Nana, and I went to grand march.
Nate was working earlier in the day, so he got some pictures with his grown up girl.
The Larsen Family
Today we went to Steve and Janie's to get some barn boards. Daddy is going to use these to build the tree fort! The boys insisted on helping take out the old nails. ;)
It was a great day to have a picnic, play outside, and ride some 4-wheelers and a lawn mover!
The only thing I had a picture from last week was the Color Run. Missy and I try to run a 5K each month. Our April one was the Color Run in Eau Claire. I was fun and not timed, which made it perfect for my first one. The rain held off just long enough for us to stay dry, but it was still a bit chilly.
We started out clean,
and ended up COLORED!
Thanks for checking in this week. Not sure what we are up to this week!?!? Hopefully the sun stays shining!
