Jack Frost is knocking on our window! Literally... we had our first snow this past week. It didn't stick around long, but it was enough for the boys to get excited and think that they needed to get out their snow shovels. It's too bad we don't have snow pants or boots yet! Waiting. until. the. last. possible. moment. to. buy. snow. gear...
Daddy found their winter coats and it was just in time to bundle up for our first Stout Hockey game for the season! It was a good one to take the boys to. With a full rink, the final score was 10-3 so there was a lot of action, scoring, and cheering! They loved being right up front and in on the action. They did ask where the "ball" was and I had to tell them we were watching for the puck.
Watching the "Boni" clean the ice.
The game held their attention the e.n.t.i.r.e time.
That is Aiden right in on the action... loving it. He can't wait to watch Brigs and Blais next!
We met Reese there. When she saw I had the camera, she started playing peek and gave me some silly faces... stinker! She loves hockey too!
In between the periods the boys thought it was pretty cool to see the players walk by... they said they were getting "high fives" even though they weren't... story tellers. ;)
The talk this week has been "go to bed like a big hockey player", "eat all my supper to get big and play hockey", etc...
I see hockey skates, hockey sticks, concussions, injuries, and a broke bank account in our future.
How long can Daddy hold them like this?
On Saturday the girls came over to visit. It has been too long since we have seen them so the boys were really looking forward to their visit! In the summer we get together weekly, then school starts..... and we get busy and the weekends fill up fast! Too fast.
Although Aiden and Elle fight like brother and sister, they play really good together.
Elise loved all the toys and just tried to keep up with the big kids all morning. She is taking a couple steps and blabs up a storm! I heard the words "hi" and what sounded like "here you go" while we handed toys back and forth - back and forth - back and forth ;)
Ashton likes to play puzzles right now. He had no interest in playing with any of the kiddos. He was content doing this puzzle most of the morning.
Elise kept right up with the big kids. This helped, for if she wasn't keeping up with the big kids she was reminding me that my house isn't baby-proofed anymore! She found the stairs and the Tupperware cupboard a couple different times.
Missy and Dave were picking out their appliances for their new house! I am looking forward to many play dates in the near future as Adam and I know there are many times you need to sneak away for meetings with the builder and getting to various places for all the decisions... kid free!!!! I don't think I could ever handle triplets with a one year old but for a couple hours it was a blast!
Sorry for the late post. Adam and I were busy doing some projects last night. All summer I have had a "Honey Do" list and Adam kept saying, "Let me get my outside projects done first... those are winter projects." Well - the winter projects have began!
What are we doing?
~Organizing closets
~Build a upholstered headboard
~Hanging some TV's
~Order some more pieces of furniture
~Order area rugs
~Finish the boys' rooms (Aiden needs a wall painted green)
You would think with a new house we would have nothing to do... decorating is a process that cannot be rushed. ;)
